Bob Dylan and Drive-By Truckers Show Announcements Are Helping Me Get Through “Coronavirus Cancel Culture”

Yes, everything this spring is cancelled.  Wake me up in June…

Just when I’ve become numb to all of my plans for the next month or two being shot to Hell (please don’t fuck up Rage Against the Machine in Portland April 25th, COVID-19), two amazing shows just went on sale.  First, Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dylan, aka The World’s Greatest SongwriterTM, is touring again this spring and summer.

For my Boise folks- he’ll be in beautiful Bend, Oregon at the Les Schwab Amphitheater on June 4th– just weeks after his 79th birthday.  For everybody else, if he is coming anywhere near your town, this is a must-see.  He is a legend beyond description and his nationwide tours are probably fleeting.  As an added bonus, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats is about as good as you can get for an opening act.

Although this stellar band was forced to cancel the rest of their March and early April shows (including the Wonder Ballroom set next weekend that I was seriously stoked for), they have announced more dates this summer.  This new list includes Boise on July 14th, when I’ll get to see them for a third time.  If you’re in Boise, I can absolutely guarantee you won’t find anything better to spend $25 on in 2020.  See you at the show!
