My first live music experience since February 24th (and likely last one for weeks to come) was brief and unimpressive, but I enjoyed it for a few moments- from a distance, mind you.
No, I didn’t take a picture of him… I’m a bit off my game. Here is what an Albertsons looks like.
Opener: The Lady Who Honked At the Guy in the Aggressively Jacked-Up Pickup Truck
Apparently she was upset about something the guy with the small penis did, and wanted him to know it. The shock of her Sequoia’s one-note symphony really opened up the sonic palette for the goodness that was to come just a few seconds later.
Headliner: Random Dude with Acoustic Guitar Outside the Store
I didn’t recognize the song, but it was more folky than bluesy. It was not accompanied with any vocals, at least in the ~20 seconds I witnessed. The gentleman didn’t appear to be looking for money, as there was a noticeable lack of hat, case, or cup, for which to deposit such fortunes into. When I came back out of the store with my wares (still no toilet paper, of course), the musical stranger was gone. Had he ever really been there? Am I losing my GD mind?
Yes, folks- I am struggling without live music (or sports, bars, people in general). However, a little context shows that I’m healthy, so is my family, I’m able to work from home, and life will be fine. I sincerely hope the same for anyone reading this.
Until the next show, this’ll have to do.
